Location: Payyoli is a picturesque village located in Kozhikode district on North Malabar Coast, in the state of Kerala.
Description: Payyoli is a part of Kozhikode District and is well known for its numerous attractions, among which Payyoli beach is the most famous. Located at a distance of 45 kilometers from Kadavu, this beach offers magnificent views of swaying palm trees and a vast stretch of golden sand. A famous temple of lord Shiva, named Trikkottur Perumalpuram Temple, is also located near this beach. Being very beautiful and well maintained, this beach is considered as a very suitable place for swimming. Payyoli is a far flung area and is attained a great popularity for the calm, serene and down to earth quality of this place. Months of November and December witness the arrival of Olive Ridley turtles, which is considered as an endangered species and they come here to lay eggs.
