Location: Vellari Mala is a mountain range in Kozhikode district of Kerala. These mountains form a part of Western Ghats; they lie on the border of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Description: Vellari Mala is full of green landscapes, cascading streams and fresh air. Winding along the rocky area is the River Kanjirapuzha, a tributary of Chalihar River, which produces many magnificent waterfalls at a number of points on this mountain. This area is surrounded by dense vegetation, adding a refreshing verdant touch to the surroundings. Trekking spots present in this region are awesome. Nilambur Railway Station is the nearest railway station and it is at a distance of 26 kilometers from this place, while the Calicut airport is at a distance of 40 kilometers, thus making this place easy to access.
