The Kadalundi bird sanctuary is located in the middle of hillocks that enclose the whole region. This sanctuary lies on the estuary of the famous Kadalundi River, which later on becomes a part of the enormous Arabian Sea. This place still remains an unexplored coastal piece of land for many tourists and is a home to over 60 different species of the bird kingdom. Besides this, the sanctuary is also known for the wide variety of mussels, crabs and fishes found here.
The perfect time to visit this bird sanctuary is December onwards till the end of the month of April. The natural beauty can be best enjoyed in the wee hours, when birds can be spotted in their natural habitat.
The place experiences heavy rainfall and must be avoided during the months of May to July.
