Thikkoti Light House occupies a great place in the list of monuments in the Indian history. There is an interesting history behind the Thikkoti Light House, it is said that this Lighthouse has been built over the remains of a shipwreck, which belonged to a boat that crashed near the shore full of rocks. Thus, the Thikkoti Light House is a scary reminder of the accident that took place here.
The beach ahead in front of Velliyamkallu Rock off Mtoodadi coast, was feared by many mariners. The area enclosing is home to various migratory birds.
