Mananchira Square is surrounded by Mananchira, a man-made lake and offers a soothing view to your eyes. This magnificent symbol of architecture is located in the central part of the city. This square has been named after Manadevan Samoothiri, who was the famous erstwhile ruler of the Kingdom of Kozhikode, known as Mona Vedan Chira or the pond. This name was later rechristened to Mana-an-Chira. The building has great detailing all over it, along with a musical fountain, landscaped lawns, and an open theatre, making this place a perfect blessing for all the visitors.
