Dal Lake

Location: Dal Lake is a small lake which is present at an altitude of 1775 m and is situated in the Tota Rani village, lying in the district of Kangra in north India. The best way to explore this lake is on foot; however it can also be reached by a shared taxi or bus.

Description: This Lake was named after the Dal Lake in Kashmir and is enclosed between deodar trees. Well known for its cool atmosphere and scenic beauty, this place attracts the attention of innumerous adventure enthusiasts. At the surrounding hills, novice as well as experienced trekkers can indulge in trekking. The trekking areas range from easy to difficult; therefore anybody can try their hand at this activity. This lake is regarded as holy and it is believed by the local residents that a dip in the lake can remove all miseries. A temple dedicated to Sage Durvasa is also present in the vicinity and is visited by devotees in large number.

Activities: While at the lake, tourists can enjoy a walk with their loved ones. In addition, photography enthusiasts can also click some beautiful pictures and save it as an everlasting memory of the trip. The scenic locations add beauty to the Lake.
