This temple is located in Adyar and has been built some time back. It is a nice white construction surprising the eyes. This is a very special temple because it has been constructed according to one of the cults out of the five cults as described by Adi Shankara. The cult that is present here is that of Ganesha. The main God worshipped here is Ganpati, known popularly as Venkata Ananda Vinayakar; it is surrounded by temples of Shiva, Vishnu, Surya and Devi. On Ganesh Chaturthi, the sun rays fall on the presiding god which is considered very auspicious.
There are the eight bells that represent the seven musical notes. A statue which pairs Lord Ganesha and Lord Hanuman is present there which is known as Adhyantha Prabhu, the right side is Ganpati and the right side is Maruti. People of Hindu religion, irrespective of their castes, visit this temple and offer prayers.
