Guindy Snake Park

Situated on the Sardar Patel road, Guindy Snake Park lies next to the Guindy National Park. This park attracts lots of tourists, as it houses a large variety of different species of snakes and rare reptiles. In the year 1972 this park was founded by Romulus Whitaker to conserve various species of snakes that have become endangered. Maintained by Madras Snake Park Trust, it was recognized as Medium Zoo in 1995.

This park remains open for people of all age groups on all days, except Tuesday. Therefore visiting this park can be a memorable experience for the travelers as they can see different species of snakes, such as reticulated python, common krait, striped keelback, olive keelback, spectacled cobra and many more. Another attraction that lies nearby is the well maintained children’s park which is a house to various birds and animals. Animal lovers will fall in love with this place as it houses a large variety of fauna.
