Location: Located in the area of Bajaura, Basheshwar Mahadev Temple is located at a distance of 200 m from the hamlet on a place which is present in between the Beas River and the main road. Tourists can reach this shrine easily as it 4 km away from the city airport of Bhuntar.

Description: Well known as the Visveshvara Mahadev temple, this shrine is dedicated to lord Shiva. It is believed by the local residents that this temple was constructed in the 8th century. This beautiful temple has gained popularity amongst the visitors and devotees because of its marvelous stone carvings, sculpted figures and flat shikharas. The exteriors of the temple are sculptured with floral designs while the interiors are decorated with fine carvings on stone. This complex also houses various small shrines that are dedicated to different Hindu deities, which include Lord Ganesh, Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu. Devotees and tourists can also mark a visit to the three sided temple, which is just outside the main shrine. The main deities of this sacred shrine are various gods and goddesses belonging to the Hindu religion.

Activities: After seeking Lord Shiva’s blessings, religiously inclined tourists can visit and pray at the nearby temples. In addition, tourists can also become a part of the daily pooja which is carried out twice a day.
