Location: Mulki is a panchayat town situated on the banks of holy River Shambhavi. It is located in Dakshina Kannada district in the Karnataka state of India.

Description: The town of Mulki was earlier known by the name of Moolikapur and it is one of the famous pilgrimage places in India. Mulki is located at an altitude of 8m. Thousands of people visit this sacred place every year. Mulki is easily accessible by common means of transport like bus, car and train. Tourists can also reach Mulki by air as the nearest airport in Bajpe is just 20 km away from this city. Some of the famous attractions of Mulki are Shri Durgaparameshwari temple, Shri Kolekady temple. Sri Kshetra temple, Sri Venkataramana temple, Sri Hanuman temple, Sri Veerbhadra temple, Shafi Jumma Masjid, Hanfi Masjid, and Mulki Darga. Here, women are treated as an image of Goddess Durga. May be, that is why the female population of this state is more as compared to men. Agriculture and fishing are the main sources of income for the people in Mulki.
