Kulamavu, Idukki

Kulamavu is one of the most famous hill stations in Idukki, Kerala and stands at a height of 3,000 feet above the sea level. It is an ideal place for trekking and offers a liberating treat of miles of aerial view.

Another attraction is the Kulamavu Dam, which is one of the three dams of the Idukki Reservoir Project. Situated at the western side of the Idukki Arch Dam, the world's second largest arch dam, Kulamavu extends between 33 square kilometers of rocky hills to form the reservoirs.

Boats are also available for 2 hours cruises between the Cheruthoni and Kulamavu dams. Other places of interest include the Moolamattom underground power station and the Idukki Wildlife Sanctuary.
