At a distance of 35 km from Munnar lies the Kolukkumalai tea estate, located on a precipitous ridge above the golden scorching plains of Tamilnadu. This is reputed to be the highest tea estate at approximately 8000 feet above the sea level. It is 90 minutes from Munnar.
