Sangam is approximately 3 Kms from Srirangapatna, where Loakpavani meets Cauvery. It is also known as the convergence point of the rivers and is located close to the temple. Sangam is considered as a holy place and so is the belief for taking a dip in its water.

Many folks hold a belief that the holy water washes away the sins of people as they take a dip in it. It is also a famous location for picnics and has very pleasing views and landscapes. River Cauvery from this point joins Mettur Dam, taking its course into Tamil Nadu
