The St. Mary’s Church is popularly known as Gunadala Matha Shrine or Mary Matha and has been built on the hilly area of Gunadala in Krishna district close to Vijayawada. There is an iron cross on the very top of the hill that stand as a unique feature of the shrine.
The annual feast of our lady of Lourdes catches the attention of many devotees and is commemorated with a lot happiness, positivity and enthusiasm. Majority of devotees come to this temple for worshipping, every Sunday and on important sacred days.
The museum of the church also gets attention of many tourists which has a collection of precious gifts from devotees and other sacred remnants from the historic period.
