Bhavani Island is one beautiful island in the Krishna River, and is one of the biggest islands of all others on Krishna River. The Bhavani Island covers a huge area of 130 acres and is situated close to Prakasam Barrage. It is a beautiful picnic spot, which has a well maintained swimming pool and it offers other activities as well, like boat riding in the river water. The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation is the one that takes care of the availability of boats and these are provided from the place called Durga Ghat.
The island has gained a lot of tourist attention within the recent years and continues to attract them with many river facing resorts. The Bhavani Islands offer a good deal of water activities to its tourists. Fishing is another activity that can be performed here and the island can be reached by a boat ride which is very pleasing and enjoyable.
