Victoria Museum is a perfect place for the archaeology buffs that falls under the Archaeological Department and has a number of ancient and important idols, sculptures, paintings, cutlery, and weapons, reserved under it carefully. The Victoria Jubilee Museum is situated in Vijayawada on the Boundary Road and it displays an explicit collection of prehistoric tools, coins, metal work, microlithic and Neolithic tools.
One thing that is the most attractive about this museum is the enormous sculpture of Buddha, built from granite. Another figure of Buddha carved out of white limestone is a marvelous piece of work that has a Buddha in standing position, which was brought up from Alluru.
The museum remains open from 11 am – 1 pm and 2 pm – 6 pm during summers and for winters the gates remain open from 10 am – 1 pm and 2 pm – 5 pm. The museum remains closed on Fridays and other public and gazette holidays and the entry into the museum is free and open to all.
