Description: Chatushrungi Mata Temple is a sacred building reflecting ultimate beauty and eternal delight. According to legends, the temple was built during the reign of the Maratha King, Chhatrapati Shivaji Raje Bhosle. Chatushrungi means a mountain with four peaks, where this temple is currently located and this is why this sacred place is renowned as Chatushrungi Mata Temple among devotees. About 90 feet tall and 12 feet in width, the temple is a symbol of divine power and belief. You have to climb over 100 steps to reach the temple and receive blessings from the Goddess Chatushrungi, who is the main deity of this temple. Along with this, you can also worship the idols of Lord Durga and Lord Ganeshapresentin the premises of the shrine.
Activities: Navratri festival is the most auspicious occasion celebrated in the temple with great pomp and show. The festivals lasts for nine days and thousands of people from all around India come here to worship the Goddess Chatushrungi.
