Located at Byculla near Pune, this amazing structure was constructed by the David Sassoon in the year 1861. Since then, this synagogue has been administered by the Sir Jacob Sassoon Charity trust and it still offers daily prayer services.
The predominant Victorian style architecture is the main highlight of this place. With several huge frontal Gothic style pillars and a clock tower, the look that is provided to the structure is astounding. Also, the structure contains an exclusive prayer house for ladies with an attached gallery. This is a favourite among tourists who wish to look upon the architectural designs used in the yesteryears.
