The Gandhamadana Parvat is the peak point of Rameshawaram, distanced approximately 5kms from the central town and located within that small radius is the Ramjharoka temple, which like other temples has the footprints of Lord Rama on a Wheel.
The location of temple presents a really magnificent view of the blue ocean. One can also easily view the Ramanatha Swamy temple situated on the banks with other similar smaller and compact temples spread evenly across this island.
The Ramjharoka temple is a very prominent and popular place for pilgrims after the Ramanatha Swamy temple and a huge number of worshippers come together to offer their holy prayers before Lord Rama and also spend rejuvenating time in the calmness and peacefulness of this place. This place is also covered by beautiful views making it very photographic as one can capture distinct kinds of environment of the coastal region.
