Location: Lachung Temple is positioned close to the Diskit monastery in district Leh of Jammu and Kashmir.

Description: Lachung temple has grimed paintings that face a statue of Tsong-kha-pa that is crowned with a Gelug-pa yellow hat. Attractions that are located nearby include Tsangyu-Lang and Kang-yu Lang temples. This temple is one of the oldest temples in the Nubra Valley and has immense religions and historical significance for the devotees. It is a small temple but has been constructed as a great piece of art. Lachung temple represents the beauty and magnificence associated with the temples of ancient times. Statue of Tsong-kha-pa is a reminder of the great Tibetan Buddhism philosopher, as well as teacher. He was the person who led to the formation of Geluk School.
