Description: Surrounded by serene ambience, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara was built in 1517 in the memory of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Guru of Sikh religion. It is believed to be situated at a place where Guru Nanak Dev Ji conquered a demon. History states that when the demon attacked Guru Nanak Dev Ji with a huge rock, it became soft like molten wax and could not hurt the Guru. The rock, having an imprinting of the head and body of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, still exists inside the Gurudwara premises and can be seen by those visiting this holy place. Situated in Ladakh, even the Buddhists worship this Gurudwara. A large number of tourists, belonging to different religions, visit the Gurudwara to pay homage and seek blessings of God.
