Location: New Vishwanath Temple, also known as Golden Temple, is situated in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. It includes a travel of 9 Km from Varanasi bus stand and 8 Km from Varanasi city railway station. 

Description: New Vishwanath temple is one of the holiest and esteemed temples of India, situated amidst the narrow lanes of Varanasi. It is one among the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. Home to Shivling, it holds huge religious significance, which is even more than the Ganga River and ghats of Varanasi. It is believed that Lord Shiva himself resides here and gives Tarak Mantra to all those who die here. Because of this, devotees have a belief that the person dying here attains liberation. Golden Temple, another name of Vishwanath Temple, comes from the gold plated spire of this temple. One ton of gold that was donated by Maharaja Ranjit Singh was used in gold plating. Many shrines of gods can be seen inside the temple. Tourists and pilgrims from different parts of the world come here to pay homage to Lord Shiva. It serves as an exciting observatory and those planning their visit to Varanasi must include it to their list.
