Location: At a distance of about 4 km from the famous Banaras Hindu University and 12 Km from Varanasi junction railway station, Ramnagar Museum is located inside Ramnagar Fort in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

Description: Built by Maharaja of Banaras in the 17th century, Ramnagar Museum, a part of Ramnagar Fort, was once the residence of the royal family of Banaras. A part of their residence was later converted into a museum and the remaining part serves as a Fort. Situated on the bank of River Ganga, the museum offers a magnificent view of the river and other surrounding ghats. The Ramnagar Museum is crowded by tourists who come here to have a glance at ancient artifacts belonging to the royal family of Banaras. Ancient weapons, unique astrological clocks, American vintage cars, jewel encrusted chairs, elephant saddles and swords, are some of the things of those times that can be viewed here.
