Description: Believed to be 1000 years old, Laxminarayan Temple is gaining popularity all around the world. According to legends, the famous shrine was constructed by King Chattar Singh in 1664-90 AD. It was built as impudence against the regal orders announced by the Delhi Durbar for the destruction of Chamba temples. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu and his beloved consort Goddess Lakshmi, and Narsimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu itself, Laxminarayan Temple is frequently visited by Hindu devotees with great respect and devotion. Art and sculptural works, especially its imprinted figurines and carvings, are truly a piece of magnificence, which attract art lovers from around the world.
