Location: Located close to the Vice Regal Lodge, HimalayanAviary is a majestic bird zoo, situated at a height of 2000 m above sea level in Shimla. Needless to say, it is one of the most fascinating zoos one can ever visit. It is located in proximity to the Visceral Lodge.
Description: Bird Aviary also popular as Bird National Park, is a rich treasure of avifauna. Bird watchers from all over the globe visit the nature park with great euphoria. The park where this aviary is presently located is covered with rare flora and trees. You will find a large collection of North Indian avian species here, which fill the ambiance with their sweet chirping sound. A wide variety of rare avian species including peafowl, pheasants, Himalayan Monal and some other distinctive species can be spotted as well. You can enjoy a walk of 4.5 km from the west of Scandal Point. This way you will be able to explore the vicinity of Shimla very well.
Activities: April to June months of summer season is the best time period, when you can have fun with your family and friends at this bird park and admire the charming beauty of its natural surroundings.
