Location: Elevated at a height of 1,800 m, Darlaghat is a beautiful town located on the National Highway 88 in Solan district of Indian state, Himachal Pradesh.

Description: Darlaghat is highly popular for a fruit called “Daru” and this is how the town got its name. It is also famous for the best quality limestone in India. People from near and far come to visit Darlaghat especially for its wildlife sanctuary. Since the inception of wildlife sanctuary in 1974, Darlaghat is gaining popularity day by day for its great wealth of flora and fauna. On a visit to Darlaghat, you have a great opportunity to see rare species of birds and animals. Covering a vast area of subtropical and mild forests, the wildlife sanctuary is a habitat for bears, sambhals, wild boars, red jungle fowls, and barking deer. If you are a bird watcher, then you can see migratory birds in Darlaghat. Get ready with your cameras to shoot the breathtaking views of lush landscapes and snow clad Himalayan ranges in the background. Weather remains pleasant, but make sure to take along your woolen garments even if you are visiting Darlaghat in summer season.
