Golf Course, Naldehra, Himachal Pradesh

Golf Course, Naldehra

Location: Established by a former Viceroy of India, Lord Curzon, Golf Course Naldehra is one of the oldest and scenic golf courses in India. It is about 22 km away from Shimla.

Description: It is said that Lord Curzon was so amazed to see the beauty of Naldehra that he named his third daughter “Alexander Naldehra”. Constructed in 1905, the course is surrounded by dense woodlands and sanctified by an ancient temple. The course offers a wide spread panorama of Himalayas. The cool breeze and serene atmosphere of Naldehra is what attracts people to this picturesque region. Settled on an altitude of 2,200m, Naldehra Golf Club is an inspiring nine-hole golf course with lush greens and different tees. But to make the course more challenging, a few more greens and tees have been placed without making any change in the natural landscape. With the adventure of golf, golfers can also experience the uninterrupted views of lush green meadows and verdant pine forests.

Activities: In Naldehra, the best season for golfing is from April to October and July to September, during the monsoons when you can see the incomparable natural beauty of vast grassy lawns. The Club also hosts one of the most challenging championship courses with Par 68 and 3791 Yardage.
