Hardy, a British architect got this church constructed under his supervision. However it was only in 1891 that the church was opened for the public. The architecture of the church is greatly influenced by the western style of architecture. This place has a strong influence of Roman Catholic populace as well. Being a religious site, this church is visited by a large number of tourists all around the year. Christmas is celebrated with huge pomp and show here and tourists can also become a part of the celebrations.
