Description: One of the unique museums of West Bengal, Nature Interpretation Centre clearly depicts the effect of human activities on natural environment. Established by Forest Department, the centre spreads awareness about environmental issues, such as global warming, soil conservation, extinction of birds and many more. Focusing on the flora and fauna found in the forests of Kalimpong, Nature Interpretation Centre carries out research, enclosing information, pictures and books on the ecology. The centre is well known for showcasing various full scale or three dimensional models of local ecology. All this creates an instant interest among the visitors. One can visit the centre from Monday to Wednesday as the centre is open to tourists during these days from 10 AM to 4 PM.
