Karmi farm is actually a family-run farm and certainly the best place for getting accommodation in Darjeeling. The flooring of this farmhouse is done using traditional wood and locally made hand woven rugs are used for decorating it. Local workers are employed for producing organic foods in Sikkim and Nepalese traditional way. If need arises, then food from outside is also brought. The terrace of this farmhouse overpasses the valleys.
The cold evenings are turned enjoyably warm by the log fires. You can reach Karmi Farm in three ways, one is an eight hour walk; or ride on a jeep for 90 minutes through tea gardens and then through the countryside which is approximately a three hour ride; you can get dropped near the hill and then take a small walk. Tourists who come to visit Darjeeling prefer to stay in this farm and enjoy witnessing the beauty of nature in its best form.
