This loop is a large railway loop and is located at a distance of 5 kilometers from Darjeeling. This is the best suited place to adore the 360 degree eyeshot of the graceful scenery of Darjeeling and Kanchenjunga. The main objective served by this loop is lowering the slope trek of ascent of Darjeeling Himalayan railway. This loop got authorization in the year 1919. Batasia loop offers a marvelous view of the tranquil environment with aerial mountains of the eastern Himalayas. There is an eco garden present in this place where information regarding plantation and organic farm is provided. In the centre of the loop there is a war memorial which is constructed in the memory of Gorkha soldiers who lost their lives in wars that took place after the Indian independence. Tourists visit this loop to enjoy the scenic beauty of the surroundings and various attractions located over there.
