Tharpa Choeling Gompa is a well known Monastery that was set up in the year 1937 by one of the sects of the Buddhist religion, called Gelukpa, also called as yellow hat. This monastery is positioned on the Tirpai Hills and is considered as one among the first three monasteries that have been constructed in Kalimpong. The Gompa is enclosed by abundantly green dense woods and from the Gompa premises picturesque Himalayan ranges can be viewed.
