Indosan Nippon Japanese Temple is located around 15 kilometers away from Bodh Gaya. This temple is a great example of Japanese architecture and sound Buddhist teachings. The temple has been constructed from wood and appears like a Japanese Shrine. In this temple one gets the feeling as if he is in Japan. The temple contains a number of paintings presenting the various events that took place in the life of Gautama Buddha. Built in the year 1972, this temple has been taken care of properly. In addition to this temple, the Government of Japan has funded various projects aimed at spreading and preservation of Buddhism and the teachings of Lord Buddha. The temple premises are also serving as a school, where children of primary classes are educated. A unique feature of this temple is that every small thing that has been constructed here is in Japanese Style. People from various parts of India visit this place for witnessing the unique characteristics and beauty of this place.
