This is a Buddhist monastery and the sacred Kunguyar serve as an important feature of this monastery. Six years after beginning the construction of this monastery, in the year 1976 Dalai Lama sanctified this monastery and it is also called as the Durpin monastery. All the volumes numbering a 108 carried by Dalai Lama are contained in it. This Gompa serves as a sample of Buddhist construction style with eye-catching paintings on the walls. The principal prayer hall is surrounded by this Gompa and atypical upstairs seem to be in a three dimensional view. Attractive views from the nearby areas and the everlasting beauty of the Himalayan ranges make it a great spot for picnicking. The Gompa remains peaceful and calm and this is reflected in the atmosphere present over there. This place serves as a very good tourist spot and a great place for attaining tranquility and relaxation away from the worldly problems.
