Surya Sen Park is a popular picnic spot and is located at Mahakalpali, close to Siliguri. This is a place having greenery all around and best suited for entertainment, fun and spreading awareness with regards to the alternative sources of energy. Exhibitions are organized in the park and knowledge about alternative energy sources is imparted in the exhibitions; one can get a lot to learn about the alternative energy sources by attending such exhibitions. A big bust of the famous freedom fighter Surya Sen is placed in the middle of the park. All the amenities required for entertainment purpose of the children are available here. The park is built in scenic ambience and charmingly decorated impressive scenery, abundant green backyards and beautiful fountains. The park looks very attractive full of colored lights that glow during the evenings and also during the night time.
