A well known tourist attraction in Kalimpong, Saramsa Garden was established by the forest department in 1922. Various species of fascinating orchids and unusual tropical plants of the Sikkim region are housed in this garden, which also includes different fruit trees.

This garden gained popularity after the cultivation of a medicinal plant, Ipecacuanha was started here and hence it is also called as Ipecac Garden.
