Lord Hanuman is regarded as the patron deity of the fort as several temples dedicated to the lord are present all over the fortress. This hill fort was blown away by the British army forcing the Maratha rulers to flee from the place.

Activities: Religiously inclined tourists can visit the Koli temple to offer their prayers to the main deity of the temple. Tourists can also enjoy a trek up to the fort amidst the serene and scenic surroundings. So add this attraction to your must visit list while on a trip to Lonavala.
