Location: Situated at a distance of about 32 km from the heart of Leh city, Turtuk is a small hamlet which has been opened for the public in the year 2010.

Description: A remote village, Turtuk is inhabited mostly by the Muslim population. Lying at a small distance from the line of control, this village has a population of about 4,000 residents. This village houses a number of tourist destinations and some of them are Nubra valley, Pangong lake banks and Panamik’s hot springs. On the fertile land of Turtuk, apricots, wheat and tomatoes are cultivated. Annual festive celebrations that are held at this village make the otherwise quiet city very colorful and vibrant. Tourists can enjoy folk dance and horse racing as well.
