International Society for Krishna Consciousness - ISKCON was established byHis Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, in the year 1975.
The temple is also known as Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir and is situated in Raman Reti. The place reminisces the younger years of lord Krishna on earth. It has three altars, in which the central altar holds mesmerizing idols of Krishna’s brother, Balaram. On the other hand, temple houses the Samadhi Mandir, which is the memorial of its founder, Swami Prabhupada.
Temple is beautifully decorated with carvings, attractive chandeliers and pictures depicting the life of Sri Krishna. Tourists from all over the world come here to witness the immense love and spiritual life of Vrindavan.
In addition to this there are 10,000 ISKCON shrines and over 250,000 devotees, who are dedicated to encouraging happiness and love within the society. This monotheistic movement covers wide range of other programs, including free distribution of food, providing education and arranging seminars and workshops.
