Description: The name ofHazratbal Mosque is derived from an Arabic word and refers to Majestic Mosque. The mosque is as beautiful as its name. Many Muslims of Kashmir valley believe that the relic in the shrine is Moi-e-Muqaddas, a hair of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. The shrine is regarded as one of the most sacred shrines of Kashmir. Thousands of people often visit this mosque with great devotion. Please note that cameras, phones and shoes are restricted inside the sacred mosque. Blend of Mughal and Kashmiri style of architecture has enhanced the beauty of this historical structure.
