Description: Sitamma Teertham is believed to be the place of great spiritual powers. This is the place where Lord Brahma observed his repentance for a long time. Before commencing journey to the main temple, devotees first get sanctified by taking a bath in this water body. They do so as the water of this pond is said to have miraculous powers to absolve people from their sins and sorrows. Thus, prior to Darshan, devotees take bath and then move towards the shrine. Sitamma Teertham is of great religious significance amongst devotees all over India, who come here in huge numbers mainly on auspicious occasions according to Hindu calendar. The Teertham is beautifully located amidst the verdant forests of Tirumala Hill.
