Raghunath Temple

Location: Raghunath temple is a popular shrine that was built by Maharaja Gulab Singh and his son Ranbir Singh. This temple is in the middle of Ranbireshwar temple and Panjbakhtar temple.

Description: Construction of this temple complex started in 1851 and was completed in the year 1857. This temple comprises of seven historical shrines that are decorated with a tower. The presiding deities of this temple are the different incarnations of lord Vishnu, lord Shiva and lord Surya. The temple architecture follows the Mughal style of architectural design and this can be seen in the arches, surfaces and corners. Entrance of this temple has an idol of lord Hanuman and an image of King Ranveer Singh. Interiors of this temple are gold plated and are lovely to watch. This temple serves as a house for many gods and a number of lingams. This temple is well known for its inscriptions. A Sanskrit library is also present in this temple that comprises of ancient books and manuscripts that are rarely found anywhere else. It is a great religious spot and even the historians find this place to be quite interesting.
