Kotwali Bazaar is considered as the most occupied market place in Dharamsala and houses a number of small shops that sell different kinds of items, which also include the well known Tibetan carpets. This bazaar is situated on the road that goes to Mcleodganj and the bazaar is easily accessible within 10 minutes time. Kotwali Bazaar is one of the main markets of this city and houses Kangra art museum and parks like Nehru Park, Gandhi Park and Sangam Park. In this bazaar, there is an inter-state bus terminal and a central market. A number of posh restaurants are also located in this market place, where tasty street foods, like thupkas and momos are readily available for the tourists. Some other attractions located near this bazaar are Kunal Pathri and the Bhagsunath temple. In short this bazaar is a perfect place for purchasing various items of use and experiencing the local culture.
