Baglamukhi Temple, Kangra

The temple is positioned on Dharamshala-Kangra-Chandigarh highway and is among the most visited places in Kangra. This is considered as one of the oldest Baglamukhi temples located in Bankhandi in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Presiding deity of this temple is goddess Baglamukhi. This temple is said to be existing from the period of Mahabharata and is of great religious importance. Ma Baglamukhi is worshipped as she is believed to conquer the enemies. Saints of Hindu religion used to worship Mata in order to conquer internal enemies, like anger, greed, lust, fascination and pride and attain self realization. Now with the passage of time people have started to worship the Goddess for worldly matters, like winning elections, winning court cases etc. Very few people know that Baglamukhi is the most powerful deity in Hindu mythology. People from all over India visit this temple and offer prayers taking blessings from the Goddess.
