Triund is a crest located 2975m above the sea level in Dhauladhar ranges of the Himalayas. It is a well known tourist spot and involves a trek of 9 kilometers from Mcleodganj. Triund hill is considered as the jewel of Dharamsala. This place presents a magnificent view of the Moon peak- Indera Pass. Triund serves as a perfect place for camping as well. Pure air and untouched natural beauty make this place a green spot for tourists to spend some time amongst pristine views. This place is also a well known trekking spot with plenty of routes. Trekking is of moderate nature here that means the tourists can complete most of the treks in a single day and rest. From Mcleodganj a trek of 4 hours is required to reach Triund and the most suitable time to trek is from the month of April to June and from September to November.
