Palampur is considered as the ‘Tea capital of North India’. It is an attractive hill station situated in Kangra valley in the state of Himachal Pradesh. This town got its name from the word Pulum, meaning sufficient water. This region has a large number of streams, which make this place a blessing for tea plantations. Palampur is the only place in the entire Himachal Pradesh state that possesses tea garden attractions. Abundant tea gardens spread over extensive land are sufficient to attract tourists from all over the country. Weather of Palampur remains good, so one can visit this place throughout the year. However the period from February to November is considered as the best time to visit this part of the region and enjoy its breathtaking beauty.
