War Memorial is considered the entry point of the old and sacred city of Dharamsala. The memorial has been established amongst lush green pine trees in order to pay tribute to prominent War Heroes from the entire state of Himachal Pradesh after 1947. The War Memorial has been attractively adorned with green backyards which give it an artistic outlook.
This is an admired place overwhelmed with patriotic feelings and a remembrance of the sacrifices that have been made by the brave soldiers of our nation to defend our country. Memorial can be visited by a cab or taxi in a short span of 12 to 15 minutes and takes one or two hours to travel through this place. Famous GPG College constructed during the British rule of India is positioned near the war memorial and is worth a visit. Tourists visiting Dharamsala should visit this place to witness the beauty of this memorial and pay homage to the soldiers who fought for our country.
