Pandoh Dam

Location: Pandoh Dam lies at a distance of about 10 km from the famous hill station, Manali. This is a man-made dam which was constructed out of rock and is present at a height of 76 km.   

Description: One of the most visited places while on a trip to Kullu, Pandoh Dam has remained an important attraction of the region. This dam was built over the Beas River and is considered to be a generator of hydro electrical power. The presence of water coming from five different bays helps in regulating the flow of the water that is present in the reservoir. This dam, which is a part of the Bhakhra Beas management board, is on the way to Manali. Therefore, tourists can stop over here for some time to relax and click beautiful pictures.

Activities: This place has something for everybody, as various attractions lie in the vicinity of this famous dam. Nature enthusiasts can visit the Jogini waterfalls, Beas Kund or Solang valley and spend some beautiful moments with their loved ones. Religiously inclined tourists can visit Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara or Hadimba Devi Mandir to pray and seek blessings. Tourists can also relish the delicious local food served in the nearby restaurants.
