Location: The well known Tibetan Buddhist temple was constructed by the Tibetan population residing in Mussoorie. This temple lies close to the famous IAS Academy on the Happy Valley Road.

Description: Alternatively named as Shedup Choepelling temple, the Tibetan Buddhist temple is visited by a large number of devotees. According to the local residents it is believed that after Dalai Lama came from Tibet, he took refuge in the queen of hills, Mussoorie. Jawaharlal Nehru, the then prime minister of India granted land to Dalai Lama and hence this temple was constructed. This temple houses prayer wheels and innumerous idols of Lord Buddha. The meditation hall of the temple is carved with beautiful paintings on the walls, panels and on the ceiling as well. A visit to this temple can help a person relax in its divine ambiance and you can surely experience peace of mind at this place.
