The Yadavindra Gardens or the Pinjore Garden, as it is more commonly known among the local populace, is an ideal place for tourists to visit, attracting an increasing number of visitors with each successive year. Spread across 100 acres of property, these gardens are a major tourist attraction. Situated approximately 22 km away from the heart of Chandigarh, this tourist destination can be easily reached thanks to the new expressway which connects Chandigarh and Pinjore. One point of interest is Pinjore’s significance in the Hindu Culture, since mythological accounts state this township as the place where in the Pandavas rested, while they were in exile. There are a lot of activities to enjoy including visiting the mini zoo, the nursery, the Japanese Gardens or simply a picnic on one of the various beautiful lawns here. There is a light and fountain show, which tourists of all ages can also enjoy every evening.
